Gary Brooks B.Phty, B.H.M.S – Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist
Gary graduated from the University of QLD in 1989 and worked initially at the PA Hospital in Brisbane. He then practiced at a number of private practices and sports injury clinics in Brisbane before doing contract work for the army at Enoggera army barracks, whilst also completing his Exercise Physiology degree at University of QLD (graduating 1992). In 1994 he set up a private practice on the Gold Coast before re-locating to Tamborine Mt in 1997.
Gary is a keen athlete, participating in many triathlons and fun runs and regularly attends the local gym.
Lauren Morgan – B.Ex Sci, Grad Dip Ex Sci, M.Phty, APAM
Tamborine Mt Physiotherapy is pleased to welcome Lauren Morgan to the practice.
Lauren graduated from Griffith University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, Post Graduate Diploma of Exercise Science and a Master in Physiotherapy.
Lauren is generalist and likes to have a hand in all areas of physiotherapy including; musculo-skeletal sports injuries, chronic pain, exercise prescription, pediatrics, women’s health and gerontology.
Lauren’s interest in Sports Physiotherapy, extends not just clinically, but also to outside the clinic, with many years’ involvement as physio to elite athletes such as state and local AFL, athletics, basketball and rugby union.
In her free time Lauren enjoys the gym and mixed martial arts. She holds a Silver Level Coaching Accreditation by Australian Sports Commission and has been involved in talented athlete programs, focusing on psychological motivation.
Lauren enjoys seeing a large variety of patients and is passionate about the role a physiotherapist can play to improve the client’s quality of life and achieving a full recovery. She continues the theme at Tamborine Mt Physiotherapy by being very hands-on. She uses manual therapy, massage, stretching, exercises and advanced strapping techniques. She also utilises Flame induction cups (Cupping), Kinesio tape and electrotherapy when required as an adjunct to treatment.
Lauren will be full time at the practice which means that patients can see the same therapist each time they visit ensuring continuity of care.
Lauren looks forward to helping the people of the mountain achieve their health and fitness goals.
